Woodworking question: "table irons"? - small table plans

I am a carpenter fans, creating a small table. Are planned including panels shaped table, figure 8s ... 2 washers welded together edge to edge. She saw the long legs of iron on the table, then screw through the second loop at the top of the table. Hardware looked at me funny when I ask them. Where can I find and what is correct?
